Block characteristics of hyperbaric bupivacaine versus hyperbaric ropivacaine in lower segment cesarean section: A randomized experimental study

چکیده

Introduction: Bupivacaine is used most commonly for spinal anesthesia, however the major concern longer duration and cardiotoxicity, that led us to find safe alternative with shorter duration. Hence, we compared routinely hyperbaric bupivacaine recently available ropivacaine in terms of block characteristics caesarean section (CS).Objective: To compare efficacy safety anesthesia elective CS primary outcome as onset sensory at T 10 level & secondary outcomes motor block, grading analgesia, hemodynamic changes side effects.Methodology: Eighty parturients ASA grade ІІ undergoing were allocated into two groups (n=40): group R (2 ml 0.75%) B 0.5%).Result: Though (group 3.40±0.63 min 4.13±0.79min) 5.28±0.82 7.10±0.84min) (p<0.001) significantly B, but analgesia was (p<0.001). Incidence effects (i.e. hypotension, nausea vomiting, shivering) comparable both groups. Conclusion: Ropivacaine can be preferred an cesarean because early recovery lesser effects.

Evaluation of Hyperbaric Spinal Ropivacaine in Lower Limb and Hip Surgery: A Comparison with Hyperbaric Bupivacaine

Objectives: In this clinical study hyperbaric ropivacaine in spinal anaesthesia for lower limb and hip surgery was evaluated and results obtained were compared with those using hyperbaric bupivacaine. Methodology: Two hundred patients scheduled for lower limb and hip surgery were randomly divided into two groups of 100 patients each. These patients received a spinal injection of either 3ml (15m...

Minimum effective local anesthetic dose of intrathecal hyperbaric ropivacaine and bupivacaine for cesarean section.

BACKGROUND Intrathecal anesthesia is commonly used for cesarean section. Bupivacaine and ropivacaine have all been used as intrathecal drugs. The minimum effective local anesthetic dose (MLAD) of intrathecal ropivacaine for non-obstetric patients has been reported. However, few data are available on the MLAD of hyperbaric ropivacaine for obstetric patients and the relative potency to bupivacain...

Association of lipophilic opioids and hyperbaric bupivacaine in spinal anesthesia for elective cesarean section. Randomized controlled study.

PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy and side-effects of fentanyl and sufentanil combined with hyperbaric spinal bupivacaine in elective cesarean section. METHODS A prospective, randomized, double-blind study with 64 term parturients, distributed into 2 groups according to the opioid combined with hyperbaric bupivacaine 0.5% (10mg): GF - fentanyl (25 µg) and GS - sufentanil (5.0 µg). The latency ...
